The play by Larry Shue, which originally opened in New York City in 1984, takes place in a rural Georgia fishing lodge. "Froggy", a frequent guest, shows up with a friend in tow whose marital problems have left him so despondent that he doesn't want to talk to anybody, so Froggy tells everyone that "Charlie" is a foreigner who does not speak or understand English. Charlie thus overhears a lot more than he should, with absolutely hilarious results.
The play was presented at the Winter Street Center and was directed by Thom Watson.
