Introduction to Musical Theater (Grades 3-5)
Introduction to Musical Theater presented by Christina Longstreeth. In this class students will begin with a jazz based beginner warmup and across the floor drills to provide students with a basic knowledge of jazz terminology and technique. The class will then move into acting exercises and activities to develop the tools that students need to effectively tell stores through movement. Classes will also include a fun combination to music from popular musicals.
Grades: 3-5
Location: Bath Dance Works, 72 Front St, 3rd floor, Bath, ME 04530 (This space is not accessible for those needing accommodations)
Time: Thursday evenings, 4-5pm
Start Date/End Date: September 4th, 2025 - October 2nd, 2025 (5 weeks)
Dress code: Please wear clothes that allow a full range of motion. Students may wear dance socks, ballet shoes, jazz shoes, half-soles, or character shoes. Street shoes or boots are NOT permitted in this space. If you do not have these items, they are available for purchase at Petit Jete Dance Boutique, 124 Main St Ste 19, Brunswick, ME 04011. Hair should be out of the face.
