Every Donation Makes A Difference!
Founded in 1979 by Priscilla and J. Pat Montgomery, Studio Theatre of Bath is one of midcoast Maine’s oldest active community theater groups. Since 1980, we’ve produced more than 140 shows, ranging from small comedies to large-scale musicals. Every one of them has been made possible by volunteers and supporters like you.
Live theater plays such an integral role in our community. It brings people together, inspires creativity, and keeps local culture alive. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, Studio Theatre of Bath depends on the generosity of our amazing community. Every donation, no matter the size, makes a real difference.
Producing a show takes a lot of resources and teamwork. Acquiring the production rights alone can cost anywhere from $1,500 to $5,000, and that doesn’t include costumes, sets, or renting a stage for the curtain to rise. Our organization is completely volunteer-run. No one is paid to perform, and there are no membership dues, which means community support is what keeps us going.
In addition to our productions, we also offer theater education classes for youth and adults. Each five-week session costs students $100, with family discounts available. Sponsoring a student scholarship will help ensure that everyone has access to these classes, no matter their ability to pay.
